BOTOX® FAQS
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable treatment that temporarily reduces or eliminates the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is most commonly used to treat frown lines, forehead creases, wrinkles around the eyes, and other areas such as neck bands, jaw muscles, and lip lines.
BOTOX® works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles in which it is injected, preventing them from contracting. This results in a smoother, more youthful appearance.
The effects of BOTOX® are not permanent, so you will have to return for recurring treatments after a few months. How often you receive treatments depends on factors such as skin elasticity, age, and treatment site.

Patients may begin to see results right away, especially if treating fine lines instead of deeper wrinkles. Most patients begin to see results in 5 days, with the best results visible in four weeks.
After the BOTOX® injections, some patients may experience discomfort, redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These common side effects are mild and temporary, usually resolving within a few days or weeks. These are not all the possible side effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Botox® is mostly priced by the unit, with the number of units needed depending on the area(s) treated, the severity of wrinkles, and the person’s metabolism.
