For a short period of time following microneedling, the skin is very permeable to skincare products. Patients may opt to follow up their microneedling session with peptides or snail growth factors, or they can opt to infuse their skin with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP contains a rich concentration of 7 of your body’s own growth factors. When applied to the skin, the PRP serum boosts the skin’s healing ability, producing improved skin tone, skin tightening, and increased skin thickness and volume.
With PRP, you’re harnessing the power of your own biology. It’s like giving your skin a VIP pass to its own internal spa, where natural growth factors work their magic from within.
To obtain the PRP, our nurses first take a small sample of your blood. This sample is then spun in a centrifuge to extract the plasma. Next, the sample is concentrated with your own platelets, creating what is called platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Yes. At SLK we use FDA-approved devices for our medical-grade microneedling treatments. This ultra-safe treatment is minimally invasive and gentle enough to use on a monthly basis.
While post-treatment swelling, redness, and skin flaking may occur, it usually only lasts 3-7 days SLK offers state of the art post-care regimens to cut this downtime by up to 50%. Most people can return to wearing regular makeup within a day of treatment.
Pre-treatment consultation:
You will have a free consultation with one of our aesthetic consultants who will discuss your goals for treatment, any medical conditions you may have, and your skin type and sensitivity.
Preparation:
Before treatment begins, you will need to wash your face thoroughly and avoid applying makeup or other products. A numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area about 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
During treatment:
- Cleansing: Your face will be cleansed and disinfected to prepare the skin.
- Microneedling: The provider will use a microneedling device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the top layers of your skin. The depth of the needles can be adjusted depending on your desired results.
- Infusions: During or after microneedling, your provider may apply infusions (such as Botox, PRP, exosomes, or snail serum) to the skin to enhance the results.
