Are lip fillers right for you?

We don’t recommend filler if you’re pregnant or have an active infection near the mouth, including cold sores. Lip filler swelling timeline: what to expect day by day
Peak swelling occurs 24 to 48 hours post-injection as hyaluronic acid draws water into tissue. Your lips continue expanding overnight, which is why you won’t see maximum size immediately after leaving the clinic.
Day one brings mild to moderate puffiness; the change is proportional. Day two peaks with tightness and blurred borders. By day three, swelling drops noticeably. Most of it resolves within three to five days.
Minor residual swelling can linger for up to two weeks, especially in the morning or after salty meals. Don’t judge your final shape until the two-week mark. If one side stays larger or a firm spot persists beyond two weeks, contact your injector — it may need massage or adjustment.
Ice helps in the first 48 hours. Sleep propped up, skip the gym for two days, and avoid alcohol and ibuprofen the day before and after your appointment to reduce bruising.
